Ibn Abbas radhiallahu anhuma narrates that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam said:"Love the Arabs for 3 things:1. because I am an Arab, 2. the Quran is in Arabic, and 3. the language of the people of paradise is Arabic."
EVERY PROPHET
Abu Hurairah Radiallahu anhu reports that Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said:"... Allah revealed to every Prophet in Arabic, after which (the Prophet) used to convey the message to his nation in their language."
HYPOCRICY
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said "Whoever has the ability to speak correct Arabic should not speak another language because this creates hypocrisy."
DISTINGUISHING FEATURE
Hafiz Ibn Taymiyyah says that Arabic is a shiaar (distinguishing feature) of Islam.
