Seeds of Thought

Islam has beautiful teachings and the way that Allah Ta’ala and his Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) taught it to us is beautiful as well. Wisdom pervades their teachings. Force-feeding can have disastrous results. Giving the student food for thought, on the other hand, can produce miracles.

Ebrahim (alaihis salaam) said to a king who claimed to be god that Allah gives life and death. The king pardoned a prisoner on death row and had an innocent person killed and said that he also gives life and death. Ebrahim (alaihis salaam) then said that Allah brings the sun from the east, you bring it from the west.

Once a disbeliever brought a pile of decaying bones to the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and said that is Allah going to give life to these again? The Holy Qur’aan turned his thoughts to the time before he came into being. He was created from nothing so what is there if he dies and comes back to life again?

The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said that there are no contagious diseases. A villager said that if you have a camel with a disease and you put others with it, they also get the disease. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said what about the first camel that contracted the disease. Where did it get it from?
