Here are some formulas from the Qur’aan and Hadith to stave off poverty and increase blessing in one’s wealth:
Having Taqwa: Doing what Allah wants and abstaining from that which He prohibits.
Whoever has Taqwa (fulfils his duty to Allah), Allah shall provide for him from such avenues which he did not expect. (Qur’aan 65:3)
Keep on doing Hajj and Umrah, for they eliminate poverty and sin just as the bellows eliminate impurities from iron and gold and silver. (Tirmidhi, 810; Nasaa’i, 2631)
Establishing family ties
Whoever desires an expansion in his sustenance and age, should keep good relations with his family. (Bukhari, Vol 3:34; 281)
Seeking forgiveness and repentance
Prophet Nooh alaihi salaam told his people to repent unto Allah and He would help them with wealth. (Qur’aan 71:12)
Thanking Allah
And when your Lord announced: "If you are grateful, I will certainly give you increase… (Qur’aan 14:7)
Giving charity
Allah will give increase for charities. (Qur’aan 2:276)
Working after Fajr
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam prayed: "O Allah, bless my Ummah (in their work) in the early part of the morning". (Tirmizi)
