He had chickens which used to spend the night in his home.
He rode horses and possessed many. These are some names: as-Sakab, Murtajiz, Luhayf, Mazaz, Zarb, Sajjah and al-Warad.
He rode and possessed camels. Some were: Qaswa-rode this on the Hijrah, Adba’, Sahba-performed Hajj on this, Askar, Jad’aa, Muhrah, Shaqra’ ar-Raya’, Burdah, Samra’, Arees and Hana’.
He rode and had mules. Some names: Daldal and Fiddah.
He rode and had donkeys. Some names: Ufayr, Ya’fur.
31 Sahaaba had the fortune of sitting behind the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam on a conveyance. It is Sunnah to give people a lift if one has the opportunity.
He owned 100 goats. When the number increased, they were slaughtered to keep it at 100. Some names: Qamar, Zam Zam, Ajwah, Suqyah, Barakah, Warasah, Itlaal, Atraaf, Fajarah, Ghawthah and Yamaan.
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam in particular and Arabs in general had the habit of naming things like animals, swords, etc.
